Eye-Fi  Beta Announcement

Eye-Fi is a combination device and services solution that allows digital cameras to wirelessly connect to your computer, or directly to select on-line photo destinations. A PC running Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.4 is required to initially configure the device and service. At Beta, you will be able to connect to private wireless networks (such as home or office networks), both open and secure.

One of the favorite lenses among news photographers, a 70-200mm f/2.8 or 80-200mm f/2.8 zoom also appeals to many serious photo enthusiasts. Although large and heavy, lenses of this type offer several benefits. Their very wide maximum aperture allows for faster shutter speeds than the more typical f/4.5-5.6 zooms, great for low-light or action photography at lower ISOs (film or digital) for images with less grain or noise. Olympus Stylus 750 Review by DCResource

The Olympus Stylus 750 is one of those cameras that sounded really cool in the press release, but I ended up being less than enthused with it when I actually had one in my hands. While I like its stylish, all-weather body, 5X zoom lens, and image stabilizer, the photo and video quality is lacking, the LCD is hard to see outdoors, battery life is below average, and low light focusing left much to be desired. There are better cameras out there for your hard-earned money…

Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced its call for entries to the seventh annual Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA). The program honors and recognizes the most talented and promising student designers, photographers, illustrators, animators and digital filmmakers from the world’s top design, film, interactive and Web higher education programs. This year, the competition will accept entries from 30 participating countries.
