Datacolor, a world leader in color technology, today announced the arrival of ColorVision PrintFIX PROTM 2.0. The free software upgrade to its TIPA award winning PrintFIX PROTM and PrintFIX PRO Suite™ printer profiling solutions will be available for download later in November.
The PrintFIX PROTM 2.0 upgrade gives photographers and designers valuable new features to enhance the quality of tinted and black and white prints. Features include a new gray axis algorithm, advanced profiles settings, and new soft proof capabilities-allowing preview of custom profiles and settings before making a test print. Users may also build a range of custom printer profiles for differing black and white tints.
PhotoAlto has announced the latest update of their website with new features such as built in instant messaging support and the ability to search for images by individual photographer. In a new trend toward stock personalization, designers have requested a simpler way to find images from photographers who share their stylistic approach. In order to facilitate these requests, PhotoAlto has added a “Search by Photographer” feature to their website. With this new search tool, designers can easily explore a multitude of subjects themes, and techniques all executed by a photographer with a familiar stylistic tendency.
Eye-Fi is a combination device and services solution that allows digital cameras to wirelessly connect to your computer, or directly to select on-line photo destinations. A PC running Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.4 is required to initially configure the device and service.
