LexJet Sunset Photo Semi-Matte Bridges the Photo Gap

LexJet’s next-generation photo paper, Sunset Photo Semi-Matte, utilizes the same inkjet receptive coating as the award-winning Sunset Photo eSatin and Photo Gloss, allowing for greater ink retention, a wider color gamut, and increased scratch resistance.

“This is one of the most versatile photo papers available today,” says Alex Ried, LexJet’s product manager. “Our customers can expect the same level of performance they’ve been getting with our eSatin and Photo Gloss, but applied to a semi-matte surface. It creates a perfect, traditional-looking photograph with less glare and a stunning color gamut.”

Designed for the professional portrait and wedding photographer, Sunset Photo Semi-Matte is water resistant, and does not need to be sprayed or laminated. It’s universally compatible, and is a perfect match with the latest ink technologies, including Epson?s Ultrachrome K3, HP Vivera, and Canon Lucia inks.

“It’s a lightly-textured N-surface photo paper that’s engineered to dramatically reduce the gloss differential and bronzing effects caused by many archival-type inks on the market,” says Chris Cudzilo, LexJet’s vice president. “Our customers have had overwhelming success with eSatin and Photo Gloss, so it was essential that we delivered a semi-matte paper with the same qualities.”

The paper is available in 8.5 in. x 11 in., 11 in. x 17 in., 13 in. x 19 in., and 17 in. x 22 in. sheet sizes, plus roll sizes of 10 in., 16 in., 17 in., 24 in., 36 in., and 44 in. x 100 ft. Roll sizes require that your printer be equipped with a 3-in. tension spindle.
