“Portraiture 2 is available for $199.95, a $30 increase over the price of version 1. However, if you’re a version 1 owner, it’s a free upgrade. Either way, Portraiture 2 is a very worthwhile addition to your toolkit if you frequently do this type of work. The time saved in a single portrait session can easily pay for the program. I consider myself proficient with Photoshop, but there are adjustments that take more time than I’d like to spend, and skin enhancement is way up on that list. For me, Portraiture 2 is a sanity saver I would not want to be without.”
“The Canon EOS 5D MkII is a remarkably capable camera with excellent imaging capability, including the ability to shoot broadcast quality HD video and record sound in stereo. It represents an advance in features over the original EOS 5D and the overall image quality is generally higher—though that higher quality may only be revealed in large prints.”
“The overall image quality is very good. The lens has fantastic centre sharpness, and the level of recorded detail is superb, among the best I’ve seen. Wide angle barrel distortion is kept to an acceptable minimum, and telephoto pincushion distortion is also thankfully mostly absent. There is some chromatic aberration toward the edges of the frame at al focal lengths, but again it’s kept to an acceptable minimum… The PowerShot SX10 IS is an expensive and quite complex camera, and not really suited for the beginner, however in capable hands it is capable of producing excellent results, and has enough creative versatility to do so in a wide range of situations. Build quality, handling, performance and image quality are all up to Canon’s usual high standard.”
“Bottom line - the latest “Top Dog” in Sony’s “T” series camera line, the Cyber-shot DSC-T700 is an awesome ultra-compact. This is a Fast camera that can capture beautiful images, all the while being as compact and stylish as they come. Like we saw on the T77, the “cool” touchscreen worked great, and is sure to impress your friends. There were very few annoyances with this camera, but with an MSRP of $399 the T700 is expensive. However, I feel the larger 3.5-inch LCD and the fact that you don’t have to buy Any memory cards for this camera help bring that price into a considerable range.”
“Overall, the Canon A2000 IS is a very good performer. It captures good exposures with sharp details and accurate color under most average shooting conditions. Given its selection of preset shooting modes and built-in features like Face Detection and Motion Detection, the PowerShot A2000 IS is equipped for quick handling of common, yet tricky situations. The Canon A2000 IS’s automatic features will keep novices comfortable, while available options such as Long Shutter mode, an adjustable metering mode, and a manual white balance setting cater to more savvy users. The Canon A2000 IS is a very capable camera that’s a snap to use.”
“From a technical viewpoint, the Canon SX10 IS finds itself on a high level. The camera does prove itself and delivers sharp pictures with natural colors, all of which with extensive users ease. The dynamic range is of an excellent level and delivers pictures that also show a lot of detail even in full contrast situations. The large optical zoom range of the 20x zoom is nice to work with in practice. No tripod is needed to capture sharp images at a large distance, thanks to the effective optical image stabilization. Hardly any distortion, if even any at all, is visible which is a joy for the final result is.”
